Innovation Marketplace

Get connected with local social ventures at the DSIC Innovation Marketplace, immediately preceding the Dell Social Innovation Competition Final Event. For-profit and nonprofit organizations alike will be at the Marketplace, looking to network with UT students and recruit for intern and volunteer positions.

Blue Avocado is a lifestyle products company that was founded in Austin, Texas. All Blue Avocado bags are responsibly manufactured with recycled material and a carbon footprint label. By carrying the Blue Avocado gro-pak™, an average shopper can replace up to 1,000 plastic bags every year.
College Forward provides college access and college persistence services to motivated, economically disadvantaged students, in order to facilitate their transition to college and make the process exciting and rewarding. We believe access to higher education is the right of every young Texan.

EMANCIPE+ envisions a world where no cat or dog is ever killed just for being homeless. EMANCIPE+ works towards realizing that vision every day, by providing services and advocacy that effectively and humanely reduce the homeless pet population in our community.  


English at Work is an Austin, Texas-based nonprofit whose mission is to provide essential language instruction at the workplace in order to increase employees’ opportunities for improved quality of life and to increase employers’ competitive advantage.


Give Realty was started In July 2008 to help foster philanthropy through home sales. When you buy or sell a home, 25% of Give Realty's commission is donated to a nonprofit or faith based organization of the client's choice. Since the business was founded, over 41 nonprofits have benefited from Give Realty donations.

Since 1997, Livestrong has been fighting to improve the cancer experience and make cancer a priority. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, this once-small organization now works in every corner of the globe to support the cancer community.


RISE is a non-profit program dedicated to inspiring and empowering entrepreneurs.  Created originally in 2007 as a week-long, free “un-conference” for- and by- entrepreneurs in Austin, Texas, RISE has now grown into an ongoing annual program that leverages its proprietary web interface to provide one-of-a-kind resources and experiences to entrepreneurs worldwide for free.


Structured as an accredited, daytime course, UpLift Austin offers an innovative program to underserved high schools, introducing students to promising "green" careers and helping them design and implement projects to promote an environmentally sustainable campus.
