This School of Information course introduces graduate-level students to data analysis and visualization. Students learn how to use Tableau Desktop via a number of short assignments and two projects, one on a topic of their choice and one for an organization. The purpose of the final project is to provide students with hands-on experience working with clients and designing, prototyping, and developing a complex example of a data visualization dashboard. Organizations interested in working with a student on a data visualization project should reach out to andrea.cato@austin.utexas.edu.
