From Green Corps to KaBOOM! Forging a Career in Philanthropy and Social Entrepreneurship

The RGK Center welcomes Susan Comfort, VP of Philanthropy at KaBOOM! as part of our Global Civil Society Lecture Series. Susan will discuss her experience building support for organizations such as Environmental Working Group, 1% for the Planet, and also how entrepreneurial decision-making has influenced her career trajectory.

About Susan Comfort

Susan was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, and graduated from University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. She currently serves as the Vice President of Philanthropy at KaBOOM!. Prior to her career at KaBOOM!, Susan organized with Green Corps, directed an AmeriCorps program focused on urban environmental community service, ran “Field” for two political campaigns, served as executive director for Center for Environmental Citizenship, became VP for finance/fundraising at Environmental Working Group, and helped build the 1% for the Planet network.
