Marissa Duswalt Epstein is a registered dietitian, nutritionist, and Lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin, where she teaches several courses on health-promoting market opportunities in nutrition. Her major areas of interest are nutrition entrepreneurship and social impact.
Marissa served at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and on The White House staff of First Lady Michelle Obama as Associate Director of the Let’s Move! initiative. She is a Truman Scholar, recognized nationally for her policy writing, public service commitment and leadership in health education and childhood obesity. Marissa received her BS in Nutrition with Special Honors from The University of Texas at Austin, where she also earned a BA in Plan II Honors Liberal Arts, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and as a Dean’s Honors Graduate. She earned her MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
